Introduction

Our client, a leading Ship Chandling Company in South Africa, is looking to appoint a hardworking and professional Code 10 driver to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the Code 10 Driver’s functions to ensure that the requirements are met. Only candidates with a PDP permit and a Forklift License should apply. Candidates needs to reside in the Cape Penisula or Boland areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Day-to-day inspection of the vehicle and to report any faults

Loading and off-loading of various cargo

Deliveries & collections to the Greater Cape Town Areas

Ensure correctness of goods delivered / collected

Ensure the safety of other road users

Strictly ensure adherence to National Road Traffic Act

Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and the regulations of the road

Willing to work flexi time & Over time

Ensure cleanliness of Company Vehicles

Assist with general warehouse functions – Receiving, Picking, Packing, maintenance, etc

Desired Experience & Qualification

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a valid, code 10 License with PDP permit (8 Ton Reefer Truck)

Must have a valid forklift driver’s license

Motivated and career orientated

Good communication skills, (speak, read and write English)

Prepared to work flex/overtime when required

Must be in good health

Hands on practical approach to the job

Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably in the chandling industry

Great customer skills to maintain good customer relations

Package & Remuneration

R17 000 to R20 000 per month
