Position Title: Painters (NOC 7294)

Location: Kelowna, BC

Education: Completion of Secondary school

Wages: $20-22/Hourly

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day

Language: must be able to speak, read and write English effectively.

Major Work Area: Commercial buildings and Strata’s, Repainting, Maintenance, Fire damage, Historical Restoration, Renovation, Wallcoverings

Job Duties:

• Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
• Repair cracks and holes
• Mix paint to desired colour and texture
• Clean cut lines, apply paint by brush or roller
• Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
• Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
• Ladder work, lifts and Heights
• Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Job Requirements:

• Working with others, pay attention to details, must not afraid of heights
• Fall arrest training, first aid an asset
• Problem-solving, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience is required in residential and commercial painting.
• Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Institutional, Residential.
• Valid driver license, vehicle, and must find own accommodations
