What data do we collect?
We collect several types of personal data about you:
The data that you communicate to us: it is about the identification and contact information that you communicate to us during the creation of an account, to supplement your personal space or in general to use our Services (such as your surname, first name, your civility, your e-mail address, your postal address, your phone, your CV including information on your training, work experience, hobbies, etc., your search criteria for a job, etc.).
Data generated by your use of the Site and the Services when you are identified as your applications, your job search criteria, the frequency and intensity of use of our services, traces of your connections …).
Data collected automatically on your navigation whether you are logged in or not:
We systematically collect certain information about you, as soon as you visit our site. This information relates to:
- your activity on MyExpatJob, the job offers you are looking for, that you consult and answer to
- your IP (Internet Protocol) address and your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- your browser type and your device ID
- the files consulted on our site (e.g. HTML pages, graphics, etc.)
- operating system, timestamp and/or clickstream analysis data
The automatic processing of this data is done in the legitimate interest of MyExpatJob, which allows us on one hand, to secure your data by the prevention or detection of a possible fraud, and on the other hand, to transmit to you the best job opportunities matching your profile.
Combination of data. MyExpatJob as well as third party partners can combine the data obtained from all these sources with the other data in their possession and produce profile data for advertising targeting.
Why do we collect personal data? Use of the Site and Services. MyExpatJob is also required to collect personal data concerning you in the following cases and in particular for the following purposes:
- Creation of an account, including account verification and security
- Provision of an online CV accessible and modifiable at any time to easily apply for job offers
- Reception, transmission and follow-up of applications sent to recruiters
- Broadcast, on demand, of your CV in the CV database
- Subscription to an email alert and/or our newsletters
- Management of comments that you may publish on our articles on the Site,
- Ensure the security of the Site, the Application and the Services.
- Organization of surveys, conferences and events.
- Facilitate and improve navigation on the Site.
Statistics. We also use the data collected for the purposes of studies and statistics.
Promotional offers and advertising. With your consent when required, we use the data collected via the Site or the Services to provide you with targeted services and promotional offers.
We establish user profiles and advertising targeting to address or display on the Site employment content, offers tailored to your interests or that we think may be of your interest, including by using technologies placing cookies on your device or in the emails we send you. Similarly, our regulated partners can also establish such profiles to send you or post such content on other sites such as job offers that match your search criteria.
Some data is also kept to meet our legal obligations and to defend our interests in the event of litigation or legal action.
Which people collect your data?
Site and MyExpatJob Services. Unless otherwise indicated, in its capacity as publisher of the MyExpatJob Site, E-Apps has the status of data controller within the meaning of the applicable legislation concerning the processing of personal data used to ensure the functioning of the Website and the provision of the Services.
However, when you apply for a job offer or ask us to post your CV in the CV database, your personal data may be transmitted, viewed, used and saved by recruiters (companies and/or recruitment agencies), who also act as controllers. As a result, the treatments made by these recruiters are subject to their privacy policy which we invite you to consult.
Display and advertising targeting. Some useful treatments for advertising displays on the Site are implemented by our company and/or third party partners who are responsible for the technologies used to allow the collection of data (such as identifiers contained in the cookies associated with the pages visited), for advertising targeting purposes, including on other sites.
Links to other sites. The Site may also contain links to other sites, applications or services offered by third parties, such as recruitment sites or recruiters. This policy does not apply to these sites or services. In this case, we invite you to consult the personal data protection practices of these sites, applications or third parties.
What is the legal basis for the data collection we do?
We only collect personal data when we have a legal basis for doing so.
The personal data collection described above are carried out because they are necessary for the execution of the contracts you have subscribed (user account, etc.), and/or necessary for purposes of legitimate interest, in particular to offer you adapted content, to perform statistics, for the protection of the Site and the Application against unauthorized use, and/or necessary to comply with our legal obligations.

How long are your data kept?
Your personal data is kept during your relationship with us in order to provide you with the Services.
In some cases, we may keep some personal data about you even if you delete your account, by legal obligation, or if there is still a problem with this account, for instance the presence of a claim or an unresolved dispute. In this case, the data necessary to resolve the problem or litigation will be kept for as long as the dispute continues within the limits of the applicable rules on prescription.
Social Network Widgets
Our site includes features and widgets of social networks, like the “Like” button of Facebook in the first case or the button “Share” in the second. Your interactions with these features are governed by the Privacy Policy of the company offering them.
Who do we share your data with?
Your personal data may also be transmitted to recruiters when you apply for a job posting on MyExpatJob or when, following your request, your resume is published in the CV database.
As part of the use of the Services, some of your information is passed on to our service providers and subcontractors involved in providing the Services, to the extent necessary for their intervention. That way your personal data are, for example, transmitted to our technical service providers as part of the hosting of our servers.
With your consent some personal data about you may be shared with our external advisors in case of dispute.
Your Data may also be shared in cases not described above with your consent or when we are required by law. Thus, when you use the social buttons data relating to your identification these are automatically communicated to these social networks.
Furthermore, the comments you choose to post on our articles are publicly available.
In the event that all or part of the activities of the Company E-Apps would be transferred, your Personal Data would be communicated to the purchaser in order to ensure the continuity of the Services and/or except for the purpose of commercial prospection with your consent when required.
How is the security of my personal data insured?
Your personal data is protected by technical and organizational measures that comply with legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring their security and confidentiality.
In particular, MyExpatJob uses protection technologies, such as encryption and authentication systems, in order to protect your online account.
MyExpatJob makes sure, by written terms of engagement, that its providers offer sufficient guarantees to ensure the protection of the personal data whose treatment is entrusted to them.
Is personal data transferred outside the European Union? under which guarantees?
We keep your Personal Data in the European Union. However, it is possible that the data we collect when you use our Site or Services is transferred outside the European Union to countries which personal data protection legislation differs from that applicable in France.
Such transfers are made subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with the applicable rules on the protection of personal data.

How can you do if you no longer want your resume to be published in the CV database?
After logging in with your credentials to your Candidate Space, click on the icon at the top right and then on the “Manage CV” tab, then check the “viewable” box.
What can you do if you do not want targeted advertising?
You may at any time withdraw your consent to the use of technologies of our regulated partners for the purpose of targeted advertising by configuring the parameters relating to the advertising of your account on social media platforms (for example Facebook, Twitter) or referring to the user guides according to your browser.
Warning, refusing targeted advertising will not prevent the display or reception of other types of advertising, not targeted.
How to access your personal data? how to correct or delete them or exercise your other rights?
Access and copy
You have a right of access and communication to your personal data.
Before responding to your request, we are required by law to check your identity. We may ask you to provide us with more information to respond to your request. We will try to respond to your request as soon as possible.
If you have a MyExpatJob account, you can directly access the data in your online account by logging into it.
This access also allows you to correct, modify or delete your contact data.
You can also close your account online at any time via the “My Profile” tab.
If you cannot access your account or access other data, contact us in the “Contact Us” section below.
Get the correction of inaccurate personal data
You also have the possibility to request the correction of your personal data which might be incorrect, and the limitation of their process the time of their correction. You also have the right, depending on the nature of the processing, to request that the personal data in our possession is completed.
We are likely in this case to ask you for supporting documents.

Obtaining the erasure of your personal data
You can also request the deletion of your personal data in the following cases:
